Splenda® is blended with the carbohydrate filler maltodextrin. Maltodextrin contains approximately 4 calories per gram. According the the FDA Rounding Rules for Declaring Nutrients, any food containing less than 5 calories per serving can be legally rounded DOWN to zero on its label.
