We recommend using ZSweet® granular (in pouches & canisters) as a one for one replacement for sugar & supersweet ZSweet® (in packets only) as an enhancer to be used to add an extra boost of sweetness as needed. ZSweet® supersweet packets should not be used as a 100% replacement for sugar.
To replace SUGAR: For best results, we recommend blending ZSweet® granular in a food processor to refine the granules making them easier to dissolve. This will assist with the distribution of ZSweet® in your sauce, syrup or baking mix & will prevent the ZSweet® from re-crystallizing as it cools.
To replace BROWN SUGAR: We suggest using 75-90% ZSweet® granular with 10-25% molasses when trying to achieve a warm brown sugar-like taste. We also recommend that you blend ZSweet® granular before mixing it with the molasses.
To replace POWDERED SUGAR: Simply blend ZSweet® granular in a food processor.
To replace AGAVE: Add 1/3 more ZSweet® granular. Ex: If the recipe calls for 1 cup of agave, add 1 1/3 cups ZSweet®.
To replace HONEY: Substitute
the honey with double the amount of ZSweet® granular. Ex: If the recipe
calls for 1 cup of honey, add 2 cups of ZSweet®.
To replace STEVIA: 2
ZSweet® supersweet packets are equal to 1 stevia packet, & 1
ZSweet® packet is equal to 1 liquid stevia drop. Otherwise, a tsp of
liquid or powdered stevia is equal to one cup of ZSweet® granular. A
pinch of stevia is equal to 1 tsp of ZSweet® granular.
To replace SPLENDA®: Substitute 1 cup of ZSweet® granular for every 1/2 cup of Splenda® sugar blend.
*At this time a packaged brown sugar-like & powdered sugar-like ZSweet® is not available due to the additional cost it would add to ZSweet®. We hope these easy, at home tips can be a cost effective solution to creating delicious, sugar-free recipes.
